Do Insignificant Things
What is the point of doing something if you can’t even notice that it’s been done, right? How will we assess our progress or feel that we accomplished anything? We are taught to go big or go home…we strive for personal glory. And, we want it now! More so now than ever, we live in a fast-paced world where a meal is only a drive-thru away and we work through the night to get results tomorrow. Then, shortly thereafter, we walk over the mess and wonder why it’s crumbling. Society teaches us that convenience is greater than patience. But has it shown us that this is really true?

Start Living

“I’ll be happy when…” How many of you start your sentences (or your thoughts) with those words? When will you be happy? When you: Own a Ferrari? Have a child? Pay off your house? Why not be happy right now? Why not find joy in what you’re doing at the present moment?
When you make the present moment the focal point of your life, your ability to enjoy what you do increases dramatically. You don’t have to wait for something to happen in your life in order to find happiness and experience joy.
If you can enjoy what you are already doing, the positive changes and results you are seeking are more likely to show up and in a timelier manner. Don’t ask for permission Read the rest of this entry »
